Course Description:
- This course provides a practical review of common normal and developmental radiographic variants encountered on chiropractic x-ray examinations. Emphasis is placed on accurate recognition, differentiation from pathology, and clinical relevance to prevent misdiagnosis, unnecessary alarm, or inappropriate management while supporting sound clinical decision-making.
Hourly Breakdown:
- Hour 1 – Anatomy, Pathophysiology, and Clinical Assessment
- The lecture reviews frequently encountered normal x-ray variants of the spine and extremities, including congenital anomalies, developmental variations, and age-related findings.
- Hour 2 – Evidence-Based Clinical Management
- Discussion focused on distinguishing benign variants from clinically significant pathology, understanding when additional imaging or referral is warranted, and documenting findings appropriately to support patient care and risk management.
