Course Description:
- Dr. James Demetrious will present a course pertaining to clinical manifestations of Covid-19 (2 CE Hours).
- Relevant learning opportunities will be presented from insight gained from current and ongoing research.
- Dr. Demetrious will employ active learning strategies to accommodate the different learning styles of respective postgraduate students.
Hourly Syllabus:
- Hour 1: Organ specific manifestations, respiratory affects, Cytokine/Bradykinin storm, and CNS affection.
- Hour 2: Cardiac, pediatric, MIS-C, long hauler S/S, Vit. D/Mg, vaccines.
Expected Learning Outcomes:
- Attendees will receive a nuanced review of current peer-reviewed literature.
- Attendees will better understand lab and advanced diagnostic testing related to Covid-19.
- Attendees will be better prepared to identify subclinical cases of Covid-19 and have a better understanding of related morbidity and mortality issues.
Instructor: James Demetrious, DC, DABCO
Dr. James Demetrious is a nationally distinguished chiropractic orthopedist. He is a clinician, educator, author, and editor. Dr. Demetrious teaches post-graduate coursework on behalf of Northeast College of Health Sciences. He is a member of the NCMIC Speakers’ Bureau and teaches post-graduate coursework throughout the United States. He has published peer-reviewed journal papers related to advanced differential diagnosis. He serves as an editorial reviewer on behalf of the journals: Spine, Annals of Internal Medicine, and Clinical Anatomy. Dr. Demetrious has continually cared for patients since 1986.
