What Is the Value of Relief?

What is the value of alleviating pain? Of restoring a patient’s ability to work, to provide for their family, and to reclaim their quality of life? What is the value of renewed health, relief, and reduced suffering?

Chiropractic care provides extraordinary benefits—that are underappreciated and undervalued. We will not receive reasonable compensation if we cut our fees, rely on insurance reimbursements, or wait for broader medical acceptance. $40 Medicare reimbursements for complicated and timely visits are too low.

Every day, we succeed where others fall short. We are committed to the welfare of our patients. Our dedication, training, and capability deserve fair compensation. But for that to happen, chiropractors must first recognize their intrinsic worth and bill accordingly—earning a professional wage that reflects their expertise.

To elevate our profession and make a professional wage, we must continually refine our diagnostic abilities, improve outcomes, and consistently deliver superior outcomes.
